Sacred Heart College’s Libraries offer inclusive services, assistance, resources, and dynamic learning spaces. Through fostering a love of reading, promoting critical thinking, and supporting research and creativity, our Teacher Librarians play a vital role in cultivating a vibrant, innovative, and collaborative learning community aligned with the College’s commitment to exceptional education.
Champagnat Library
The Champagnat Library is a welcoming and supportive learning environment for students in Years 7-9, designed to foster a love for reading, research skills, and independent study. The library offers a diverse collection of age-appropriate books, resources, and digital materials to support academic learning across curriculum areas and enhance student learning. The libraries work closely with the English faculties to develop related texts lists, host author talks and promote a love of reading. Our Teacher Librarian assists students in finding resources, learning effective research methods, and developing critical thinking skills. With quiet study areas, and group collaboration spaces, the Champagnat Library provides a versatile space that encourages students to engage, explore, and succeed.

Monday – Friday: 8.00am – 4.00pm
Marcellin Library
The Marcellin Library is a welcoming, safe and supportive learning environment for students in Years 10 -12. The library fosters a love of reading as well as supporting students in their research skills, and independent study. The library offers a diverse collection of age-appropriate books, resources, and digital materials to support successful outcomes for all students. Our Teacher Librarians assist students in finding resources, learning ethical and effective research methods, and developing critical thinking skills as well as supporting timetabled study classes.
Marcellin Library opening hours
Monday: 8.00am – 3.30pm
Tuesday – Thursday: 8.00am – 5.00pm (Supported by 2 teachers and tutors)
Friday: 8.00am – 4.00pm
Tuesday and Wednesday night (5.00pm – 8.00pm) for Year 12s only (parent approval given via form at the start of the year). A teacher and tutors, covering a range of subjects, are available to support students. A roster is published and shared.
