Sacred Heart College
Beyond the classroom
Rite Journey
The Rite Journey is a unique Year 9 program that supports students in their transition to adulthood, helping them become self-aware, responsible and resilient individuals. Through guided experiences, reflection and meaningful challenges, students develop the qualities of courage, compassion and connection as they grow into capable young adults.
Immersions and global experiences
Sacred Heart College offers enriching immersion and global experience programs that broaden students’ horizons through meaningful cultural, service and learning opportunities beyond the classroom. These experiences help students develop empathy, independence and a deeper understanding of the world as they engage with diverse communities both locally and overseas.
Service and leadership
Sacred Heart College’s service and leadership programs empower students to discover their strengths and lead with courage, compassion and purpose within their communities. Through opportunities such as student leadership roles, Marist Solidarity and Game Changers, students actively serve others while developing the skills to become faith-filled, values-driven leaders.
Sports and clubs
Sacred Heart College has a strong sporting culture, offering students the opportunity to participate in a wide range of sports at all levels of ability. Through teams, competitions and rich traditions, students are encouraged to get involved, develop their skills and experience the values of Marist spirit both on and off the field.
Arts
The Music and Performing Arts program offers students rich opportunities to explore creativity, develop their talents and express themselves with confidence. Through ensembles, productions and performances, students build skills, collaboration and a lifelong appreciation for the arts.
Indigenous program
A strong commitment to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students is reflected through a culturally supportive environment that encourages engagement with culture alongside academic and wellbeing support. Through the Aboriginal Hearts Program, students from across South Australia and beyond are welcomed into a caring community supported by dedicated staff and culturally safe spaces across both campuses.
