Music
Sacred Heart College’s Music Curriculum Extension Activities (CEA) Program offers students of all musical abilities the opportunity to engage in a vibrant, collaborative music community. Weekly rehearsals are held for various ensembles, each led by experienced and specialised directors who are dedicated to nurturing every student’s musical growth. The program emphasises the development of key skills such as music technique, aural awareness, understanding of musical styles, and ensemble performance.
Students in the Music CEA program regularly showcase their talents at college events and in the broader community, performing at significant gatherings such as the Catholic Schools Music Festival, the Glenelg Christmas Pageant, the Australian Band and Orchestra Association Festival, and the Sacred Heart College Music Cabaret. A whole college approach is valued as the program fosters a spirit of unity between campuses, with students working towards collaborative projects and combined performances. This inclusive and enriching program ensures all students have the opportunity to explore and develop their musical potential while being part of a supportive and inspiring musical community.

College Musical
Our biennial College Musical is a highlight of the Sacred Heart College calendar, providing an opportunity for students to shine on stage, collaborate behind the scenes, and bring world-class productions to life for our community.
In 2025, we proudly presented The Wizard of Oz, delighting audiences across five magical performances. More than 1,000 guests were transported from Kansas to the vibrant world of Oz, captivated by the talent and dedication of our students from Years 8 to 12.
Our musical productions showcase the very best of our performing arts program, with imaginative staging, vibrant costumes, and a live onstage orchestra creating an unforgettable theatrical experience. Audiences praised the professionalism and energy of the cast and crew, describing the show as “simply remarkable” and a true testament to the creativity and commitment of our students.
Our musicals are more than just performances—they are a celebration of community. From months of rehearsals to set construction and backstage coordination, each production brings together students, staff, and volunteers in a shared pursuit of excellence. The impact extends beyond the stage, inspiring younger students and fostering a lifelong love of the arts.
We look forward to continuing this proud tradition with our next biennial musical, where new stories will be told, and new talents will take centre stage.
