We are a community of welcome, compassion and excellence, connected by our love of learning, our faith and courage, and our service to others.

As a Catholic school in the Marist tradition. Inspired by our founder, St Marcellin Champagnat, we proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ and the gospels, through Mary as our exemplar and inspiration. The five characteristics of Marist pedagogy (In the Way of Mary, Family Spirit, Presence, Simplicity and Love of Work), articulated in In the Footsteps of Marcellin Champagnat, shape how we educate and how we relate. These are not abstract values; they are deeply embedded in the lived practice of generations of Marist educators since 1817.

Every strategic decision the College makes is ultimately an investment in the young person who will one day leave our gates for the last time. This Sacred Heart graduate is not a uniform product. Each young person leaves us with their own story, their own gifts and their own vocation. As Pope Leo XIV reminded the Church in Drawing New Maps of Hope, a person is “a face, a story, a vocation”, never a skills profile or a predictable algorithm. Having said that, across our community, certain qualities are recognisable, deeply formed, and consistent with what it means to have been educated at Sacred Heart in the Marist tradition. As such, our graduates will be:

• Of strong and gentle character;
• Connected, contributing and standing with those who need them the most; and
• Authentically themselves, at home in the Hearst Family.
