SHOC Immersions

Looking to give back, experience a new culture, and connect with our global Marist family? The SHOC Immersion program invites Old Collegians to walk alongside local communities, support rural education projects, and form lifelong friendships.

A bit of history

Born from a conversation between like-minded Old Scholars, the first SHOC Immersion team travelled to Cambodia in January 2020, working with the Marist Centre of Hope and Marist Education Centre in Pailin. They taught English, assisted with boarding school construction, and shared games, conversations, and laughter with local students.

In 2025, SHOCs returned for another inspiring two weeks, supporting education projects and the LaValla Project while deepening connections with the Marist Brothers and community.
