March 2026 was filled with energy and excitement across both Champagnat and Marcellin Campuses as students came together to celebrate two outstanding Sports Days, showcasing school spirit, teamwork and House pride.
At Champagnat Campus on 20 March, students embraced the day in vibrant House colours and creative costumes, bringing enthusiasm to a wide range of events including track and field, novelty games, volleyball and the ever-popular tug-of-war. A standout moment was the thrilling relay races, expertly called by guest commentator Terry McAuliffe, adding to the excitement of the day.
Congratulations to Chavoin, who claimed the Champagnat Sports Day House Shield, and to Chanel, awarded the Spirit Cup for their exceptional enthusiasm and teamwork. We also celebrate the Age Champions, who achieved the highest individual points across the athletic events.
Meanwhile, at Marcellin Campus, the community gathered for a memorable Sports Day that began with a meaningful Welcome to Country delivered by John Lochowiack, followed by a powerful performance of the National Anthem by our talented music students.
Students competed with passion across a mix of athletic and novelty events, with the Tug-of-War a major highlight, featuring both boys’ and girls’ teams in exciting displays of strength and teamwork. The atmosphere was further enhanced by the Marist Immersions team’s BBQ and lively music throughout the day.
A huge congratulations to Chavoin House, who secured their sixth consecutive Marcellin Sports Day Championship, an incredible achievement reflecting their consistency and determination.
Across both campuses, thanks go to staff, students, families and volunteers whose support and organisation ensured the success of these events. Your contribution created two unforgettable days filled with pride, participation and community spirit.
Well done to all involved – we look forward to doing it all again next year!
